BBC4 produce new documentary ‘Synth Britannia’

The BBC are to release a documentary charting the rise of synthesisers, from their inception to chart conquering successes, with input from important artists and producers of the 70s and 80s. Starring Düsseldorf krautrock legends Kraftwerk and with interviews from Philip Oakey, Vince Clarke, Martin Gore, Bernard Sumner, Gary Numan and Neil Tennant among others it looks like an interesting production.

By looking at the success of Gary Numan, Depeche Mode and Soft Cell and their breakthrough popular success before the coming change to electronic music in the 1990s.

Looking forward to it.
