Another track from The Chemical Brothers’ new album ‘Further’ has surfaced as a youtube video. It’s called ‘Swoon’ and it’s the second one to come out, after Pete Tong debuted ‘Escape Velocity’ last month.
Unlike most of their previous albums, there will be no guest vocals on this one. The Chems have decided to go without it, where in the past they’ve enlisted the talents of Kele from Bloc Party, Klaxons, Fat Lip and The Magic Numbers
Instead, they are planning to accompany each of the 8 songs on the album with a short film. Will be interesting to see how this potentially affects their sound.
Between the two released so far, ‘Escape Velocity’ is the bigger tune, following in the footsteps of the long epic repitition of their latest electronic battle weapon, ‘Midnight Madness’. Swoon is pretty damn good too though.
‘Further’ is out on June 7th. You can pre-order it here.
