HP and Last.fm formed a partnership to put on a series of pop-up gigs in recent weeks and the final gig is planned for this Monday 22nd August. It will feature the Mercury Prize-nominated Ghostpoet fresh from the release of his (awesome) new single ‘Liiines’. Having seen him a couple of times already this year I can wholeheartedly recommend his live show which brings the electronic aspect of his recordings to the fore. The melancholy nature of the tracks remain but seeing him live showed me how big his sound can be in the right environment. Not to mention it’s free so it’d be rude not to go really.
Ghostpoet’s pop-up session is planned for Monday 22nd August and will take place at 8pm at The Big Chill Bar, Brick Lane. If you’re not feeling that then CSS are playing next door at 8pm at Rough Trade East.
Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam is out now on Brownswood Recordings. Get it here: CD / mp3.
